| Abstract | During the seminar I will describe the Remove Risk technique that I have developed for selecting options for systems planning, especially tenders for providing outsourcing services. The Remove Risk technique is designed to: follow the Government guidelines for managing risk in procurement, provide results readily understood by senior managers, and meet the principles of sound selection that have been established in the decision-making literature. I will also discuss some of the lessons I have learnt whilst assisting in the recent evaluation of the tenders for IT outsourcing for the Department of Veterans' Affairs and for Customs. |
