| Abstract | Fractal compression relies on the built-in self-similarity within a dataset. Thus, by taking advantage of this redundancy, compression may be achieved. This seminar will present an introduction to fractal image compression techniques. It will also present the current status of a high rate (100x) fractal image compression algorithm, that has been developed by the speaker. |
