| Abstract | GSS has emerged as a growing body of research over the last decade and attracted researchers and practitioners to involve themselves in GSS research. A survey shows that the vast majority of GSS research has been conducted in American cultural setting but little has been done in other cultural settings of the world (Briggs et al, 1998:12). This has been questioned that GSS theories and frameworks developed under American cultural environments may not be applied in other cultural settings (Watson, 1994:45). The purpose of my talk is an attempt to explore research opportunities in the cross-cultural study of GSS by examining several current research models associated with cultures in GSS field. |
