| Abstract | The future of document processing is some form of content markup to impose a structure onto the document, plus layout and formatting instructions. This seminar looks at LyX, a tool for document production that provides strong document structuring and fine-grain document layout. The philosophy of LyX is `What You See Is What You Mean'. Research students who are preparing to write a thesis are encouraged to come to this seminar to see how LyX can help them. LyX is very strong in the areas of citations, cross-referencing and typesetting of maths and equations. |
