Abstract

Systems developments are increasing in complexity as technology advances. Good requirement will inherently correlate to more risks identified during risk management process thus making successful application.

Scenario is being tested using smart card as a case study. The multi-application Smart Card has seen many organizations utilising it for commercial purposes. This thesis investigates the possibilities of enhancing risk identification process using scenario risk management. Scenarios were built by compiling data collected from surveys and interview into case study. Interviews are conducted to gather initial requirement and follows by requirement with usage of scenario built respectively. All requirements gathered are entered in matrix table for analysis and developing a system that satisfy most requirements.

It has been proved that conducting iterative interviews with usage of scenario case results in a chosen application that satisfy all requirements gathered. It is envision that chosen application, be tracked and monitored in risk management process to track progress of the application. Thesis argues that scenario usage leads to requirement refinement definitions in developing successful application.
