Special Session on Evolutionary Computation in Scheduling and Planning |
Scheduling and planning and problems are
generally complex, constrained and multi-objective. The application of evolution-inspired, meta-heuristic and other soft computing techniques to this problem
domain has received considerable attention from the research community.
This special
session on Evolutionary Computation in Scheduling and Planning (ECSP) seeks to bring together researchers from
around the globe for a creative discussion on recent advances and challenges
facing ECSP research. The special session on ECSP (http://www.itee.adfa.edu.au/~alar/ecsp08/)
is organized within IEEE CEC 2009 (http://www.cec2009.org).
We invite
authors to submit their original and unpublished work on recent advances and
novel applications in ECSP. The special session will focus on evolutionary computation techniques for problems related to, but not limited to, the following topics:
Paper Submission
Papers submitted for this session
will be peer-reviewed with the same criteria used for other contributed papers. The paper format of the conference is available on the website: http://www.cec2009.org.
After the final decision is made, authors will receive a notification letter
accompanied with the reports of the reviewers. All accepted papers will be published
along with all accepted papers at IEEE CEC
2009 and at least one of the authors must register and
attend to present his/her paper at IEEE CEC 2009.
All papers will be submitted
via the IEEE CEC submission system. Please follow the instructions carefully to
upload your papers. If you experience any difficulty, please feel free to
contact us directly.
Post-conference
Following IEEE CEC the organisers of the special session intend to publish either a book volume or special journal issue. Authors of
accepted papers in this special session might be invited to extend their work
for the journal (or book) publication.
